I am going to be posting videos and narrative that will illuminate the depth of Palin’s beliefs and involvement in the Dominionist cult.  Some of these are too traumatic for some to watch who were raised or members of these “churches”, and I apologize for that in advance.  Do not watch the video if you are a survivor and walkaway from these cults.  My co-collaborator is one who cannot endure the trauma that these trigger for her.

Having said that, the rest of us need to really expose ourselves to this, and appreciate how serious it all is.  These are not random small groups of lunatics scattered in the nether-lands of America.  These are LARGE groups (Wasilla 6,000 every Sunday) spread across our country and estimating 60 – 80 MILLION strong!

Notice how brazen they are.   Not only unashamed, modest in their ideologies – but arrogant and smug in their sense of being specially ‘chosen’ by God to either convert us or deport us.

I cannot tell you how upsetting this is to me that they have staked claim to my home state of Alaska!  I am 4th generation Alaskan, and even though I know that other generational (and born and raised) Alaskans have fallen prey to these dominionists, the majority of them are from extreme evangelical bible belt states that migrated north during the Alaska oil pipeline boom days…and stayed.

My mother was almost sucked into that vortex in 1964 while we lived in Ketchikan, Alaska…the town where I was born, my mother was born and embarrassingly enough – where Mary Skulka, now known as Mary Glazier was born.

Mary Skulka Glazier is Tlingit, and was raised in a household of alcoholism, neglect and deep dysfunction.  All these factors contributed to her ‘conversion’ to the white man evangelizing when the road show came to town.  I witnessed these road shows personally, even in this small insignificant community in the scheme of conversion focus – population then around 6,000 and whose population has fluctuated from the old days of mining, fishing and logging to the paper pulp mill and now reliant entirely on tourism and state oil revenues.

This is important to understand where the spiritual “mastermind” of Sarah Palin came from who remains to this day her senior “Apostle” and spiritual advisor, and can legitimately lay claim to grooming Palin for her ‘higher calling’.  (Bill Kristol of the Council for National Policy falsely touts that he ‘discovered her’ in 2007).

And equally as important because we are all so SICK AND TIRED of her – to understand why this woman is not going away.  This isn’t simply about a simple woman from Wasilla…it is about how a powerful political organization run by powerful Political Dominionists, bought into the notion that this woman is Queen Esther from the Old Testament and thrust her into our realities.

Watch this video…please…and listen to Mary stake her dominionist claims on Alaska with Dutch Sheets and nearly 6,000 people in attendance ritualistically goading her on in their fervored trance – including Sheets who is one of C. Peter Wagner most revered Phalse Prophets for Profits!

I will follow this up tomorrow with discussion on what Glazier lays claim to in this video as well as information about the “Alaska Pilgramage”…( a glass of wine or other refreshment of choice is highly recommended before sleeping ).

Erik Prince is a piece of work.  Dominionist extraordinaire.  He has taken playing army to a frightening level.  Here is a blurb about this war-mongering racist ‘c’hristian:

Vigilantism is dangerous no matter who initiates it.  And Prince is one of our favorite Dominionists who believes he is called in the Great Commission to take up where the proselytizers fail.  In other words, if you don’t convert and “accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour”, learn “speaking in tongues” as a second language and claim rebirth – well – Prince and Pals will be happy to remove you from the landscape…pretty much that simple.

And the third, an excellent introduction as to exactly WHO and WHAT Blackwater/Xe is and how the Bush Administration used them as their own personal militia to engage in activities that would never be sanctioned under the rule of law.  In their minds they are truly the “hit men” for God with a mission to “cleanse” the world of what their definition of evil is.

Blackwater Target Systems (the unit that develops and builds targets) is now being called GSD Manufacturing, and Blackwater Lodge and Training Center has been named the U.S. Training Center.

Not everyone agrees with Tyrrell. RJ Hillhouse, a national security expert and author of the blog called The Spy Who Billed Me, said the company is “obviously trying to distance itself from their image as reckless cowboys that’s etched into the world’s mind from the…shooting.” With a new name, “there are a lot of people who probably won’t connect the dots,” she said. “In a year or two, people won’t remember that’s Blackwater.”

When asked about the name change, Robert Passikoff, president of the New York marketing research firm Brand Keys, Inc. offered this: “There’s an old saying about brands: ‘When you can’t change the product, you change the packaging,’” he said. “It’s common for companies to rename in an effort to distance themselves from bad publicity, but in Blackwater’s case, things have gotten so bad that the company had little choice but dump the brand.”

Verb “Xe“

1. To block – (To fill (something) so that it is not possible to pass) or (To prevent (something or someone) from passing).
2. To catch – (act of catching a ball).
3. To fill – (to make full).
4. To seal – To prevent people or vehicles from crossing (something) or (To close securely to prevent leakage).

I will close this post with that…and please tell me what your interpretation of “Xe” is.  I know I have my own thoughts.  This was certainly a thoroughly thought out choice, and I am not comfortable with the meaning.

So far we have learned about the following words:  astroturfing; dead agenting; steeplejacking; Political Dominionist; mega church;

Today – we must learn about scripture twisting…and a finer example of this term would be hard to find, than this outrageous video sent to me by a reader of this blog.  (Please feel free to send me information that you come across that you find pertinent).

It is so hard to remain mature and professional some days in the process of reviewing and researching this stuff!  It almost hurts to use the necessary restraint to maintain my credibility…but you get where I would like to go with this I am sure!

At a time where there are literally millions of people who are fixated on denouncing the birth certificate of President Obama, and who think that “teabagging” is a proud label (rolling of eyes) – comes this very interesting ‘interpretation’ of some cherry-picked versus from the Bible.

It truly exhibits all the same level of intelligence and conspiracy-minded trogladites (aka cave-dweller, head-in-the sand moron) cohesiveness that we saw coagulating at the Sarah Palin rallies and stump speeches across the “Bible Belt” of America.

Books have been written bout this method of manipulating the words of the Bible that have been translated and interpreted in many,many ways…and often twisted to serve the purpose of the religious organization.  One of the writers on scripture twisting is Dr. James Sire, Ph.D, a professor of English, Theology and Philosophy at the University of Missouri.  The following are a list of salient points that he identifies and includes in his book:

1. INACCURATE QUOTATION: A biblical text is referred to but is either not quoted in the way the text appears in any standard translation or is wrongly attributed.

2. TWISTED TRANSLATION: The biblical text is re-translated, not in accordance with sound Greek scholarship, to fit a preconceived teaching of a cult.

3. BIBLICAL HOOK: A text of Scripture is quoted primarily as a device to grasp the attention of readers or listeners and then followed by a teaching which is so non-biblical that it would appear far more dubious to most people had it not been preceded by a reference to Scripture.

4. IGNORING THE IMMEDIATE CONTEXT: A text of Scripture is quoted but removed from the surrounding verses which form the immediate framework for its meaning.

5. COLLAPSING CONTEXTS: Two or more verses which have little or nothing to do with each other are put together as if one were a commentary of the other(s).

6. OVERSPECIFICATION: A more detailed or specific conclusion than is legitimate is drawn from a biblical text.

7. WORD PLAY: A word or phrase from a biblical translation is examined and interpreted as if the revelation had been given in that language.

8. THE FIGURATIVE FALLACY: Either (1) mistaking literal language for figurative language or (2)mistaking figurative language for literal language.

9. SPECULATIVE READINGS OF PREDICTIVE PROPHESY: A predictive prophesy is too readily explained by the occurance of specific events, despite the fact that equally committed biblical scholars consider the interpretation highly dubious

10. SAYING BUT NOT CITING: A writer says that the Bible says such and such but does not cite the specific text (which often indicates that there may be no such text at all).

11. SELECTIVE CITING: To substantiate a given argument, only a limited number of text is quoted: the total teaching of Scripture on that subject would lead to a conclusion different from that of the writer.

12. INADEQUATE EVIDENCE: A hasty generalization is drawn from too little evidence.

13. CONFUSED DEFINITION: A biblical term is misunderstood in such a way that an essential biblical doctrine is distorted or rejected.

14. IGNORING ALTERNATIVE EXPLANATIONS: A specific interpretation given to a biblical text or set of text which could well be, and often have been, interpreted in quite a different fashion, but these alternatives are not considered.

15. THE OBVIOUS FALLACY: Words like OBVIOUSLY, UNDOUBTEDLY, CERTAINLY, ALL REASONABLE PEOPLE HOLD THAT and so forth are substituted for logical reasons.

17. ESOTERIC INTERPRETATION: Under the assumption that the Bible contains hidden, esoteric, meaning which is open only to those who are initiated into its secrets, the interpreter declares the significance of biblical passages without giving much, if any, explanation for his or her interpretation.

Another book about this practice brings up yet another term for another blog and that is “shephearding”.   But for today’s topic here is a review on Mary Alice Chrnalogar’s book “Twisted Scriptures: A Path from Abusive Churches”-

This is a very serious practice.   And given that the majority of these congregations are brainwashed – they have unbelievable impact!  And that scares the hell out of me!  Look at this new term that has gained traction – “birthers”…give me a break!

Now – not only do we have the evangelical Dominionists getting riled over this, but the ignorant racist, bigoted population who are out there that could care less about God unless it is all together in one phrase “God and country” and has a gun – and are already paranoid that Obama is going to lead the charge to break down their doors and take their weapons away!

For God’s sakes people!  Is it something in the water???  How in the hell did we get so gullible and downright stupid?!  This picture of all the naked humans bowing who look like sheep, will be one that I am going to use every time I need to emphasize how absolutely ludicrous this has all become!  I have to stop writing…if I keep going I am going to do permanent damage to myself from the head-shaking and eye-rolling!

To elaborate on my earlier post today I felt it necessary to explain what the threat of a “Constitutional Convention” actually means to all of us in these United States of America.  This plea by radical “inerrant-bible-thumping” Political Dominionists goes beyond the “Tea Baggers” (I still can’t keep a straight face when I say that).  Of course they fold those extremists into their head count as well…they will “sleep” with anyone for a vote!

Nonetheless, a ConCon based on a tyrannical motive is a serious threat to our freedoms in this country that we need to fight to preserve and protect with a pluralistic and secular thrust.  Just look at the number of organized and well-funded represented groups who attended their March 2009 Jekyll Island, Georgia conclave for what they called the “Jekyll Island Project”

The last Con Con was held in 1787, when every state called to replace the Articles of Confederation with a better system of government.

“The United States Constitution is unusually difficult to amend.  As spelled out in Article V, the Constitution can be amended in one of two ways.  First, amendment can take place by a vote of two-thirds of both the House of Representatives and the Senate followed by a ratification of three-fourths of the various state legislatures (ratification by thirty-eight states would be required to ratify an amendment today).  This first method of amendment is the only one used to date.  Second, the Constitution might be amended by a Convention called for this purpose by two-thirds of the state legislatures, if the Convention’s proposed amendments are later ratified by three-fourths of the state legislatures.” – umkc.com

Fifty-five delegates from every state except Rhode Island gathered in Philadelphia to write a new Constitution. Delegates included George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison.  Their product of that convention, the U.S. Constitution, has proven itself for over 220 years.

Since that time we have amended the Constitution, but that very fact, combined with a “biblical law for-one and-all” approach has poured gasoline on the extremist fires.  Those involved in a ConCon movement associated with Political Dominionists groups such as wethepeople.org and givemeliberty.com certainly have a great deal in common with the folks over at the Constitution Party/Alaska Independence Party. By that I mean they are document ‘purists’ and would revert our constitution back to it’s first year wording if given the chance.

These groups and others are actively recruiting delegates from each state for a convention to effect this revision of the rule of land across America.

Alex Bird, (known as “dogemporer” on Daily Kos), my co-researcher and collaborator on my 2nd book, “God’s Own Party? – Keep Your Bible OFF My Ballot!” had this to add about this group’s efforts…

“The calls for ConCons are increasingly coming from groups that
have documented histories of violence (“Christian Patriot” militias,
domestic terror orgs linked with Joel’s Army groups like the Army of
God, and so on).

Dominionist groups, particularly hardline Christian Reconstructionists in “fundamentalist Baptist” circles and the Joel’s Army neopentes, have become increasingly close to
secessionist and frankly terrorist orgs of this sort; also, there’s now
documented cases of churches and entire denominations being
steeplejacked by groups with close ties to domestic terrorism and
secessionism (not just the usual Joel’s Army suspects and their Army of
God/Christian Patriot militia/etc. linkage, but the steeplejack of the
conservative (leaning dominionist) Presbyterian Church of America by
neo-Confederates linked with the secessionist (and Christian
Reconstructionist-dominionist and rabidly racist) League of the South.”

And there is the link that I was heading toward…they are fueled by the Political Dominionists…who as I have said, fuel the anti-tax, anti-diversity, anti-everything.

Check out the Continental Congress, We the People Foundation, and a list of state affiliated organizations that are available on their web sites.  And re-read Yeager’s letter again…it is remarkable.

I was responding to a comment from a reader of the post I wrote recently about the Constitution Party, and he asserts that she is aligned more authentically with the ideologies of the Libertarian Party based on specific observations he has made up close and personal, demonstrated by Palin in the past.

I disagree for the following reasons…there is sound logic behind Palin fitting ideologically with view of the marriage of church and state and as I was responding to his comment I thought it might be a good idea to post my response as a blog for all to access more readily – and layout why I hold to the Constitution Party being the political “glass slipper” for Palin & Co.

1.1 Expression and Communication We support full freedom of expression and opposegovernment censorship, regulation or control of communications media and technology. We favor the freedom to engage in or abstain from any religious activities that do not violate the rights of others. We oppose government actions which either aid or attack any religion.

Censorship?  freedom of speech?  Oh don’t even get me started!  She is the antithesis of supporting freedom of expression!  From her suppression and censorship of targeted books as Mayor of Wasilla, her tantrum over Letterman, and her attacks on bloggers who criticize her.  She has recently revealed this bias publicly although she has practiced it for quite some time in more subtle ways – Palin is definitely NOT a proponent of free and unfettered speech!

Let me introduce you to one of Palin’s friends and rabid supporter, conservative radio host Eddie Burke of Anchorage.  You know…conservative – republicans?  The party of “family values”, deep abiding faith in God, and all around exclusive patriots?  Yeah – THAT group.  I think those that you call friend and are freely associated with  - actually do define you and represent your veiws, especially when you are a public personality.  So NO – I do not see a sympatico here with the Libertarian Party values on freedom of ANYTHING for an individual!

1.3 Personal Relationships Sexual orientation, preference, gender, or gender identity should

have no impact on the rights of individuals by government, such as in current marriage, child custody, adoption, immigration or military service laws. Consenting adults should be free to choose their own sexual practices and personal relationships. Government does not have the authority to define, license or restrict personal relationships.

Political Dominionists have ZERO, zip, nada, no way in HELL tolerance fora remote notion of equality and legal recognition of homosexuals on any level – ESPECIALLY the acceptance of Gay Marriage!

1.4 Abortion Recognizing that abortion is a sensitive issue and that people can hold good-faith

views on all sides, we believe that government should be kept out of the matter, leaving the question to each person for their conscientious consideration.

Okay – do I even really have to point out why Palin and her fellow Dominionists might not be in agreement with the Libertarian Party on item 1.4?  They share as much commonality on Abortion with the Libertarian Party as they do on the issue of sanctioning anti-discrimination against Gays and the tolerance of Gay Marriage.

Do not mistake the reasoning behind why these people befriend groups.  The fact that she saddled up to the LP, is not in and of itself an endorsement of their ideologies. She, and the Political Dominionist Movement, have also climbed into the political bed with the Scientologists, Catholics, Mormons, Christian Identity, et al …all of whom will be Left Behind when the Rapture occurs (right along with the homosexuals, murderers and all around heathens)…but for now they are necessary to build a large enough base to garner votes.

I will submit that there are elements of the LP platform that would be congruent with her views and the views of the AIP with regard to independence for government control regarding schools, land, and taxes. (Don’t forget that the AIP is the Alaska Chapter of the Constitution Party) And I have NO doubt that the wingnut who started the AIP (Alaska Independence Party) Joe Vogler, subsumed portions of the LP Platform when he founded the AIP.

The devil really is in the details….

If you think that Political Dominionism – the infestation of evangelical extremism – is not on our political landscape…think again!

Illinois Republican Congressman John Shimkus, member of the House Energy and Air Quality committee, who actually read directly from the Book of Gensis before Congress citing the “infallible word of God” in the Old Testament. Shimkus conveys the message of Political Dominioinists who are entrenched in the GOP purporting that the Bible proves there is no such thing as global warming and only God will decide when the earth will end, before which we’ll hear a trumpet call…

I couldn’t possibly share all the incidences by these Political Dominionists where their Old Testament Biblical Law is cited and inserted into our law making process in the United States or that would br the only tihng I would have time for!  But – I will from time to time share examples with you such as this one.  Shimkus has LOTS of company!

Remain aware, and stay vigilant…

Sometimes the obvious escapes us while we are busy digging deep in adrenalin-rushed excitement over the possibility of shocking revelations. There is a flurry of speculation by pundits, bloggers, supporters, and MSM (that includes YOU FOX News) over the reason(s) behind why Sarah Palin resigned her position on July 3rd, 2009 as Governor of Alaska.  After careful reading of her speech and the July 4th letter to her supporters, I am convinced that the answers are all there.

Follow my hypothesis:

Palin has made a very strategic and amazingly clever move that actually makes sense if you understand her underlying motivation and ultimate goals.  Her decision to NOT run for re-election was predictable given her future aspirations and where she and many others see her role in the Republican Party.  I think many of us saw that coming for quite some time now.

Where she absolutely took most of the world by surprise was tendering her resignation.  But talk about an attention getter!  If you wanted media exposure to convey a message, it would be hard to surpass the strategy behind this move.  Bravo!  And then top it off with a poke in the sides of the bloggers that hounded her and distract the real basis for this decision even further!

Her reasoning is clearly articulated if you simply read what she said and stop looking for more:

The following are excerpts from her speech announcing her resignation on July 3rd, 2009

Alaska’s mission – to contribute to America. We’re strategic in the world as the air crossroads of the world, as a gatekeeper of the continent. Bold visionaries knew this – Alaska would be part of America’s great destiny.

Productive, fulfilled people determine where to put their efforts, choosing to wisely utilize precious time… to build up.

And there is such a need to build up and fight for our state and our country. I choose to fight for it! And I’ll work hard for others who still believe in free enterprise and smaller government; strong national security for our country and support for our troops; energy independence; and for those who will protect freedom and equality and life… I’ll work for and campaign for those proud to be American, and those who are inspired by our ideals and won’t deride them.

I will support others who seek to serve, in or out of office, for the right reasons, and I don’t care what party they’re in or no party at all. Inside Alaska – or Outside Alaska.

My choice is to take a stand and effect change – not hit our heads against the wall and watch valuable state time and money, millions of your dollars, go down the drain in this new environment. Rather, we know we can effect positive change outside government at this moment in time, on another scale, and actually make a difference for our priorities – and so we will, for Alaskans and for Americans.

I do not want to disappoint anyone with my decision; all I can ask is that you trust me with this decision – but it’s no more “politics as usual”.

Some will question the timing. Let’s just say, this decision has been in the works for awhile…

[People who serve know]…life is short so they choose to not waste time. They choose to be productive and to serve something greater than self… and to build up their families, their states, our country.

Remember Alaska… America is now, more than ever, looking North to the Future. It’ll be good. So God bless you, and from me and my family – to all Alaska – you have my heart.

And we will be in the capable hands of our Lieutenant Governor, Sean Parnell. And Lieutenant General Craig Campbell will assume the role of Lieutenant Governor. And it is my promise to you that I will always be standing by, ready to assist. We have a good, positive agenda for Alaska.

In the words of General MacArthur said, “We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”

This is a rallying cry!  She is not kidding when she states that she is not retreating – but advancing.  Once the decision was made by herself and other contributors to her decision as to how to best utilize Palin’s extraordinary popularity to advance the power and resurgence of the GOP, resignation was the ONLY option that makes sense for the following reasons – because she is now free to traverse this country unencumbered by official duties AND:

1. Excite and ignite her base – a base broader than that solely of the GOP, bringing together extremists, Libertarians, Constitution Party members as well as GOP loyalists – all under one umbrella in a way that no other republican candidate has been able to achieve to date;
2. Because of her “rock star” popularity she is an invaluable asset to the floundering Republican Party as a fundraiser for the GOP (whether Mitt, Newt, Huckabee or any of the rest of the presidential hopefuls care to admit it through clenched teeth);
3. They can capitalize on her ability to generate untold numbers of evangelical extremists to register to vote significantly increasing the likelihood for success in local and national elections;
4. And, while everyone debates over “will she/won’t she” regarding 2012, the GOP strategists are winding her up to let her go on the 2010 campaign trail in an all out effort to dominate local, state and congressional seats – by riling the masses into a pitched fervor through propaganda over Obama = Bad! Using all the scare tactics and fear-mongering popular in GOP campaigns such as Muslim, socialism, debt, non-aggressive defense posture, and the terrorism threat to the safety of our country;
5. And THEN lastly, it does give her time to consult with the religious ghost-writer assigned from Zondervan [Christian] Publishing to meet her contract obligation for her upcoming book release in Spring of 2010…which is an incredible tool that will have tremendous impact on growing her followers when she does in fact, decide to throw her harpoon into the presidential race of -2012.____________________________________________________________________
