- Glossolalia –  also known as “xenoglossy” (emphasis on the ‘glossy’) is the required 2nd language of Dominionist Sheeples. We are more familiar with it referred to as “speaking in tongues”. The basis for this “language” doesn’t exist, but you cannot convince them, and they aren’t even the least bit embarrassed by the absurdity of putting it into practice.

They tell a fable from the Book of Acts II: 1-11 to support the notion that such an event really did occur and it was prophesied by Joel that this kind of thing would happen in the last days. There is nothing in Joel, however, that prophesied that, when the last days didn’t come as predicted, plan B would be to wait 1900 years and have a revival and claim that when you speak gibberish it is a sign that God loves you.

Interesting – doncha think? Somehow, I’m thinkin’ they have taken these ancient interpretations and twisted them – and as we have discussed, they are experts at twisting biblical intent. Here is a video of one of their revered ‘church’ leaders speaking this eloquent language…

What is the real Truth about Tongue Speaking?

Many Christians believe that speaking in tongues is the fulfilment of the Latter Rain promised in Joel 2:28-29 and that it is the final manifestation of the Holy Spirit before the Second Coming of Christ. It is also commonly taught that you have not received the Holy Spirit and are not saved unless you have demonstrated the gift of speaking in tongues, and tongues seems to be the only sought after gift in the tongue speaking Church today.

And here we bump up against the End Times/End of Times/Armageddon mentality once again. But I have the King James Version of the Christian Bible and when I read Joel 2:28-29…well, ummm, it doesn’t say anything about talking in babble-baby talk.

Isn’t it amazing what men can contrive and sell to the masses? Frightening!

I had a dear friend over for dinner last night.  Time has done its typical relentless march and before we knew it, a year had passed since we last got together.  In our effort to catch up on what was happening in each others lives, as you might well imagine the topic of my research and writing came up (and stayed up) for a fair portion of the evening.

It started out with Palin and what my opinion is as to why she resigned; then on to the GOP and what does it matter seeing as how they lost by a landslide; then my friend said, “I don’t have time to follow all this, and there aren’t that many of them anyway!”  How disheartening… So where was I going to begin without turning our evening into a lecture series?  It is a tough one.  But I had no choice.

One of the biggest problems for us, and a positive for the extremists, is our disbelief and overwhelm.  They rely on us essentially ignoring the information and activities right in front of us for a variety of reasons; 1)  we really don’t want to hear about it because it is too disturbing; 2)  if we were to pay attention to it – just what are we supposed to DO with this information? 3)  our lives are so busy we don’t have time to pay attention to all this nonsense – and as she said – there aren’t that many of them anyway.

I hear her!  As I sit here writing today, it is perfect outside, 70s, sunny and I can think of a hundred other things I would rather be doing than having to write about these extremists.  And granted, my devotion to informing others about these fanatics requires considerably more time than is necessary for the rest of us to be modestly informed and stay aware.  I am really not expecting everyone to become an activist.  I am hoping that people will at minimum recognize the face of Dominionism when it is right in front of them and not dismiss it.

For example, this friend of mine has a main business partner that she works along side everyday that is a born-again, evangelical extremists and attends services faithfully at a local dominionist church.  She avoids conversations with him but doesn’t recognize that he is exactly the type of ‘c’hristian that belongs to these indoctrinated congregations.

I explained to her that he is the embodiment of what I am talking about.  I have met and spent time with her business partner so I am not making a generalized statement based on stereo-types.

She was raised catholic and remembers a conversation not long ago where he had never heard of “lent” and chalked it up to “oh, those Catholics”.  I pointed out that this is typical.  Often times these born-agains have a myopic view of the Bible as taught to them from repeated specific versus – over and over again – without understanding context, NOR having any other concept of how their beliefs fit into a world view of Christianity or (god forbid) other religious ideologies!

It is a faith of rhetoric and rote memorization.  That is an equation for dangerous blind followers and total immersion.  What does this produce?  People like her partner who can’t defend his beliefs other than pointing to the (revised Zondervan Publishing version, NIV) Bible and saying “it’s all in there”, yet lacking the knowledge of what that really even means.  In a word?  Brainwashing!

Their own movement places the numbers at approximately 30-35% of the population and growing.  They go on to proudly claim that the leadership in their movement – who are the only ones truly in “the know” – consist of about 3-5% of THAT population, but they aim to emulate the “jihadists” and grow that to 10% where they will cause a “tipping point” and create a Christian State.  Okey-dokey!

Which brought me to the next point in our conversation last night, which is that many in the congregations aren’t even aware of the fine points of the End Times/Apocalyptic agenda pursued by the leadership/salesmen…yet they are equally as responsible in their contributions and complicity.  The Sheeples…

The population of the United States currently stands at 304 million people.  So when we do the math – they claim a following of any where between 91 – 106 million.  Our numbers are far more conservative and have placed their Sheeple numbers between 50 – 80 million.  Either way, this is a substantial number of people who subscribe to this “faith”!

“There aren’t that many of them” will echo in my head for the rest of the afternoon while I mow my lawn and wonder what can I do differently?  What can WE do differently?  It is not enough to reach one person at a time…

I gave her a signed copy of “TheoPalinism – The Face of Failed Extremism” as she was leaving…and she readily accepted and looks forward to reading it.  It does carry an introductory message to this craziness and I wish I could afford to mail it out randomly and get it in as many hands as possible…but with that idea off the table I am open to others!  I am ALL ears my friends…please share your thoughts.

If I were Sean Parnell, and I was sitting there listening to Sarah Palin describing her justification for abandoning her post as governor of the State of Alaska early – I would have been personally insulted and emasculated.

But he didn’t…and he won’t.  Sean is a Palin follower and will not man-up.  He has guzzled the dominionist kool-aid.  He is not the most dynamic personality to begin with, I have sat across the table from the man as a lobbyist and know whereof I speak.  Sean is simply and unquestioningly accepting his role, as it is being scripted for him, in their march toward their “Great Commission” mandate.  They are sincere in their belief that the End Times are at hand and that they are “chosen” to play a crucial role in these final days.  Hence, Parnell is simply a foot soldier in God’s Army to Palin’s role as the anointed Queen Esther from the Book of Esther.  I know, sounds wild doesn’t it?  It is…but they have swallowed this hook, line and sinker and will not rest in their quest to fulfil the biblical prophecy (as they interpret it).

A little about Queen Esther: Esther had great wisdom and wise people know that sometimes timing is everything. She could not afford to ruin her one chance to save her people from a certain annihilation. It would be a tragedy of immense proportions. So much depended upon her actions!  Mordecai, earlier in the Book of Esther, had been given a place of power in the kingdom due to his trustworthiness.  The bravery of Esther saved the Jews.  Such is the eminence of Queen Esther, who will be remembered infinitely for the life she led and the role she played in saving her people through love and selfless devotion.

Is Parnell Mordecai?  Who knows…in their world anything can be created as long as they do it in the name of God.  This photo shows Parnell and Palin on stage with their evangelical leader Ed Kalnins of the Assemblies of God Wasilla Bible Church, as they receive guidance and prayer for direction.  (It is more than a bit disturbing that Senator Murkowski is there as well, although as a Catholic I cannot imagine she agrees with their interpretation of theonomy – for she would be thrown under the judgement bus along with the rest of us who are not specifically “born agains”)

Soooo…the fact that Sean did not take the microphone after his swearing in, and state with certainty that – contrary to Palin’s speech about the uselessness of the Governor’s office and position (with a mere 18 months remaining) – he would vow not to kowtow to the perceptions of being a “fill-in lame-duck”.  How is it that they deem his appointment as governor more worthwhile after just explaining what a waste of time it would be for Palin to remain?  Hmmm…it’s a conundrum of sorts, doncha think?

End Times/Armageddon zealots are on the constant look out for “SIGNS”.  In psychology this is known as ‘confirmation-bias’.  That means that a person will seek confirmation biased by their views, we all do it.  But the majority of us (thank God!) are not looking for confirmation of the End Times destruction of the earth and all its inhabitants.

But these aren’t MOST people.  And they are eerily energized by the news of disaster, personal, societal, national.  They are, unfortunately, a force to be reckoned with because though a minority, they are well-funded, highly positioned and have a following of millions that are profoundly brainwashed.

Look at this character, Thomas Manton IV of “Dominion International” (hmmm…that has a familiar ringdoesn’t it?) who dubbed himself, “God’s voice to the Nations” and is described on his website, “He travels the globe releasing God’s Prophetic Fire; and investing time developing leaders and saints into spiritual excellence through Dominion International”.

Nairobi – Kenyan police has arrested an American preacher who faces charges of trafficking pornographic material, police said on Wednesday.

Thomas Manton IV, a self-styled prophet, was detained late on Tuesday following a complaint by a woman who said he posted pornographic pictures of her on a website.

“He will be charged for trafficking pornographic material and being in Kenya illegally,” a police officer said on condition of anonymity.

The country’s top police spokesperson, Eric Kiraithe, and the criminal investigation department chief, Festus Malinge, confirmed the preacher was in custody but refused to elaborate.

Thomas Manton IV used to hold weekly religious services in a central Nairobi hotel and describes himself on his website as “God’s voice to the nations”.

His biography boasts that he has healed the lame, the deaf and the dumb and that his countless prophecies included the September 11 terror attacks and “the Western Bank/Gaza conflicts (sic)”.

Among the best-selling DVDs listed on his online store are “Kill the Middleman”, “God’s Path to Promotion” and “How to Become Devil Proof”. – AFP

As these pious men tumble from “Mount-Holier-than-Thou”…there is going to become a point where the End TImes/Armageddon Sheeples are going to begin rejoicing this as yet another “sign”.

Can it get any more obvious and criminal than this?  Preying on those in despair…the poor, indigent, and minimally educated.

Give, give give so you can earn admittance to the glory of heaven…it is beyond comprehension that people see this crushed velvet suited clown, emerging from his limousine and continue to turn over their last dimes!  Now if that is NOT brainwashing you tell me what is!

I know I am going to get indignant remarks from those who read this…but I truly caution you to take a hard look at this.  If you are inclined to defend any of this as a knee-jerk reaction I fear that you are being lulled in as well.

In their world, if Palin is left standing, they will be even more convinced that she truly is the “Anointed one”. Her anointing in 2008 as Rebecca from the Old Testament was the first step for these Dominionist zealots.  Remember that much seen video?  It was Pastor Thomas Mutthee of Kenya.  Remember?  He was standing in her church, Wasilla Assembly of God, with her very own Pastor and his assistant, laying hands upon her casting out demons, rebuking Satan, and anointing her as a Prophetess Warrior fit to rule.

Well…let us read another quote from Pastor Mutthee…about Manton IV.

“It is such a privilege to know a man who fearlessly declares what he hears from the Lord! During the short time Prophet Thomas Manton IV was in Kenya, we witnessed God’s amazing and mysterious power working through him. All the words God spoke through him in 2002 were fully manifested during the December 2002 elections. What does this say about the endorsement and anointing of Palin?  Manton IV?  Thomas Mutthee?  And anyone out there who can swallow this stuff?

These people have the ability to convince not only themselves – but millions of others – of their “prophetic” revelations that seem to oft times put themselves in positions of excessive wealth and power.  So don’t be surprised if they start seeing all these “fallen apostles” and “god-fearing politicians” to be viewed by them as an even greater ’sign’ from the Lord that Palin is truly – their anointed one!

Yeah…frightening!

This issue may not be the sexiest topic and arose several weeks ago in the headlines but nevertheless it has been troubling me.  I have been troubled by the fact that since the years when I was a student all through elementary, junior high and high school in Alaska spaning the 1960’s and 1970’s, something has caused a downhill shift in Alaska’s education standards.  

In fact, the decline in quality education availability played largely in my decision to move my daughter to a place that offered better schools in order to provide here every opportunity for her future.  

Given the state of Alaska’s dismal Education Report Card, I find it puzzling that Palin would even consider declining any help that is offered whether in dollars or ideas.  Fortunately, her disregard was over turned by the legislative body.

Sometimes I think we look at teaching our children as an expenditure that is a luxury that can be cut back. What are people like Palin, Sanford and the others who are vying for political position thinking will happen to these kids whose world doesn’t go on hold while they “wait to see what everyone else does”? 

“Apparently Gov. Sarah Palin will be accepting the federal stimulus funding, including millions of dollars for education, which she had originally said she would not accept.”

All states make accomodations for their individual needs and we all need to support increasing our intelligent quotient in this country if we are to compete globally – let alone generate students who have the basic education skills to turn our country around.  You don’t have to be a parent to have a vested interest in the decline of our children’s education.  

Palin then said, “The legislature has accepted these stimulus dollars, and my agencies will make appropriate applications for funding. As we move forward, we must continue to exercise fiscal responsibility and prudent planning to develop our resources and build a stronger Alaska, and not assume federal dollars will continue to pay so many of Alaska’s bills.”

What a show…applause, applause.  It is all for show and most definitely NOT for the good of the constituency.  

Alaska has been given a big fat failing report card on education and Palin cannot refrain from playing pollitics and religion at the cost of children’s education.  But hey!  If you believe that this is the End Times and the Rapture is set to occur in the next 20 years or so…then that old tired refrain of “Children Are Our Future” just doesn’t have the same urgent ring it once had.

The Smartest State is a title that has eluded Alaska in the national line up.  So, you ask – is it in the Top 10, 20, 30…umm, surely it must be in the Top 40!  Afterall, if Governnor Palin has so little concern for the funding of education in Alaska it MUST be doing fairly well.  Ahhh…not so much.  Try #46.  Yep, that is 46 out of 50!

At least this way Alaska doesn’t have to concern itself with all those unsightly bumper stickers espousing “Proud Parent of…” cluttering up their vehicles.  

Palin opts out of test standard for education

PLANNING: Alaska is one of only four states not to join effort.

“Gov. Sarah Palin’s decision to opt out of an effort to write nationwide education standards in reading and math…Palin on Sunday rejected what nearly all other states have accepted and said Alaska has chosen to “monitor but not yet actively participate” in the process of standardizing K-12 education.

Forty-six states have signed on to the initiative to devise standards for reading and math testing that would let the performance of students in one state be compared with those in another.

The effort is in its development stages, with state and federal education officials, and others, trying to agree on what the core standards should be. Agreeing to adopt the standards is a step for later. Besides Alaska, the other states that have turned away from the effort are Missouri (22nd), South Carolina (26th) and Texas (25th).”

There is already a score card for all the states resulting in the numbers I quoted above placing Alaska in 46th place nationwide according to Morgan Quinto State Rankings.

To take the position that Alaska needs to sit back and let the other states do the work in devising a standardized measurement for assessing student learning just doesn’t add up.  Since becoming involved in the brainstorming of these quantifiers does not make you a member for life in the program, just wherein lies the problem?

Alaska’s geographic challenges do exist, but are not entirely unique to that state alone.  Even in Washington state my daughter attended an elementary school with a total of 32 students ranging from grades k-6 with multiple grades in each classroom.  In one year she received a better education in writing skills in 6th grade than she had her entire attendence at an Alaska elementary school.

Sitting at 46th in the country with a D- report card

would incite me to jump in and get involved on behalf of the children, not sit back and see.  God forbid Alaska should look to the New England states for a model given that they are all consistently in the Top 10, and generally the Top 5!

            

Caribou Barbie

One articulate idealogue to another…can you imagine being a fly on the wall for that conversation?  The intellectual prowess would be daunting!  I know, I know – the ‘wurd’ is that Palin called the Dad of Malibu Barbie to express her sympathies and empathize with the persecution endured by a good Christian girl just trying to make her way in the world against all these heathen attacks.  But just imagine the two of them….

MB: “It is so hard to innnocently express bigoted hateful views against an entire group of people in the world without everyone getting SO excited! They take it so personally!  Afterall, don’t they know that we don’t hate them…it is the sin we hate.”

CB: “Don’t let them ruffle you, there…also, after all it is your composure and appearance that matters most right now. By the way!  Where did you get those implants, there?  I am over 40 now and I may be interested, also too.  I have that 2012 Pageant thingy coming up afterall, and – well, all those boys will certainly expect me to look my best! And I take my role modeling to women out there very seriously – as I know you do.”

MB: “Really? I mean, you like them?  I am so honored!  Of course I will share that with you when you are ready!  I know they sit on my chest like water balloons and seem like an appendage that enters the room before I do, but those boys sure do like ‘em!”

CB: “I just want you to know from one runway gal to another that I have your back!  No one has more self-inflicted battle-scars than me with those mainstream gotcha media guys and gals!  The way I avoid that from repeating itself is by just staying to myself, ya know, at hooommee, with my loving family where I am surrounded by ‘rell’ family values.

That way I can stay grounded in my faith comforted by knowing that all I have to do is say a few

 im…prec…atory (wow!  I always have such a hard time with that word! so I just sound it out) prayers against those that are persecuting me – and God will take care of them!  Look at the success we had with that one we all prayed against Mother Teresa!  

Just keep yourself outta the press like I do.  That is my best advice!

“Good for Sarah! She and Carrie are two of the bravest and sincerest voices for traditional values. Sarah and Carrie “walk the walk” even if it means that they will be attacked through Alinsky methods by the intolerant left. Many male conservatives are afraid to do that.  Carrie is being demonized for pictures that any liberal actress or model would be celebrated for.

How many female celebrities/models are feted for appearing in revealing poses in Maxim, Playboy, or Sports Illustrated? Remember the recent Jennifer Aniston cover of GQ? What hypocrisy on the part of the left and MSM!I think Carrie and Sarah are kindred spirits. The MSM will try to smear them anyway they can because both women are proud to be conservative.  Sarah and Carrie rule!”

The GOP’s New Big Tent

Big tent?  Revive?  This is the “new/old” term being bandied about by the re-branded National Council for a New America GOP.  (That is a run-on isn’t it?)  This is reminding me of something else…hmmm…what is it? Aha! I know! Tent revivals!  GOP Revival…I am totally seeing the connection!  In their effort to appear distanced from the fact that GOP now stands for “God’s Own Party”, a Tent Revival is a natural step to take in this subtle attempt to re-brand and be inclusionary.  And that triple ‘A’ rentals had canvas with the cross pitched on the whole WORLD and everything (It actually looks like it is stuck on Mt. McKinley where they did that ceremony ‘planting the Christian flag and casting out demons from Alaska’ ceremony)- it just doesn’t get much better than that!

 Definition:  ”When a party that is motivated by ideology begins a shift to a “catch-all” or “big tent” party, it’s usually marked by a move to the center of the political spectrum and a very flexible and pragmatic platform. Many believe this is a powerful way to make a party more popular, as it no longer limits itself to a specific ideological sector of the population. Opponents of this tactic argue that this alienates the ideological bases of a party.”

This is going to cause a D-I-V-O-R-C-E between the GOP marriage of Church & State!  They should’ve been listening to their own rhetoric all these years…espousing to the rest of us that “mixed marriages” are purely unnatural and just don’t work!  

And now look…they even have a Tent Sale!  Where will this madness end?  I fear we won’t know that answer until post-2012 and beyond.  It is no wonder that Sarah Palin decided – after some momentary ambivalence awaiting the final ‘wurd’ on her new book deal – to jump on in with this New America Movement and the boys.  

Co-publishing with the Christian Company, Zondervan…the same publisher that introduced and marketed The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren.  Now THAT’s change we can believe in!  Vetting process anyone?  If you are promoting ‘change’, do you really want Palin in the club?  and Barbour, Jindal, Bush, Romney, yada, yada, yada?

I am truly pulling for the Secular Republicans to come in from the Land of the Lost and Displaced Conservatives and kick some self-righteous ass and reclaim their Party from this 30 year infestation so we can get back to arguing about real conservative vs. liberal issues without the arrogance and piety of a GOP raptured by extremists that are drinking the End Times kool-aid!

I’m just sayin’….

I have been searching for months for the name of my new book, and have conjured up hundreds that would all apply in one way or another, such as -”Does the Republican Party Need an Exorcism?” (too Catholic);    ”Republicans! For the Love of GOD! Please Take Your Party Back!” (too hard to shorten for quick reference);  ”Keep the Steeple Off the Ballot!” (too subtle?);  ”The Day the Wheels Fell Off the GOP Wagon”;  ”The Republican Taliban” (good, but sounds like something my poli-sci Prof would have written)…and on and ON!  

And then – there it was!  Staring at me out of their own mouths…”God’s Own Party”.

The inability of the dominionists and Christian nationalists to suppress their sense of entitlement to heaven over the rest of us lowly infidels is at best nauseating, but they do take themselves VERY seriously!  And the time has come for us to take them seriously as well, as much as I hate to admit that.  

It is not my place to judge whether they are truly Christian – or more aptly – christian with a little “c”, but their ideology of intolerance, retribution, revisionist religious doctrines and this self-anointed mandate to take dominion over us all – BEGS to be written about in terms that we ALL pay attention!

Let’s ponder the GOP 2012 gallery of religious rogues as they are surfacing to the top…shall we?

Palin, Huckabee, Jindal, Huntsman, Pence, Sanford, Romney and even Gingrich (newly Catholic, but made it into the House of GOP, with blessings).  

This list is by no means exhaustive…STAY TUNED! 

When asked about his marketing success during a 2005 Interview with Fortune Magazine ”I still go sit at the feet of Peter Drucker (his now deceased marketing guru) on a regular basis,” Warren said, “He honed into me hundreds of one-liners and taught me that growth always comes from the outside – from people who are not now using your product, or listening to your message, or using your services.” 

Forbes Magazine’s endorsement of Warren’s best-selling book “The Purpose Driven Life” as “the best book on entrepreneurship, management, and leadership in print,” seems to leave Jesus out in the cold – doesn’t it? 

There is no mistaking the goofy grin on Warren’s face in that Forbes article pegging his income in the $25 million dollar neighborhood…wouldn’t any of us have a look that?  I bet he actually DOES think God is in his personal corner!  But he is missing one thing…humility and honesty.

It is not an honest man who prides himself on being a “stealth dominionist”.  It is not an honest man who uses the horrific conditions of others to gain popularity and acceptance, yet furthers an End Times agenda “under the radar”.  It is not an honest man who discriminates, and preaches intolerance of ALL those who are not “saved” and convert to neopente dominionism.  It is not an honest man who can’t even sit upright do to his gluttony, yet sanctimoniously condemn the sins of others.  It is not an honest man who cowers behind orchestrated “good” deeds to mask the abominable.

It is way beyond time to expose these pharisees and moneychangers for who they are.  If Jesus were walking the earth today – HE WOULD BE CLEARING THE DOMINIONIST TEMPLES!

As you can see I abandoned my posts here in mid-November to go back to the drawing board and re-write my book.  I hastily released it in an effort to make it available prior to the election so it deserved my undivided attention.  The outcome is more than I had hoped for in light of my ongoing research for the second book.

What is coming into the light has enabled me to begin seeing through the “nonsense” fog that exemplified Palin in her breif, but seemingly inocuous, interviews.  Where at first, I along with most of the audience, also mistook her ramblings as pure nonsense.  

Don’t misunderstand…I am not suggesting that the woman has a command of the english language, Journalism degree or not! But I have learned that some of her nonsense has origins that scare the hell out of me!  Specifically?  Her religious beliefs.  Here are some terms that I will be discussing in great length for some time to come that are important for us all to acquaint ourselves with:

- Dominionism

- Joel’s Army

- End Times

- New Apostolic Reformation

I will add more over time.  It is extraordinarily important for each and every one of us to learn what we can about these and take them dead seriously!  This is not a fiction novel in the making, it is a reality that noone of us want to see in a position of power and control in our government – and hoo boy! did we come close!
