Yet ANOTHER Press Secretary for Palin!  She never tires of being the first governor in Alaska to set records.  Let me introduce you to her FOURTH Press Secretary!  David Murrow…another ‘c’hristian zealot joins her staff.

And another “Promise Keeper” to boot!  (Like the morally superior Senator John Ensign)

Bill McAllister forced out after less than one year

The turnover continues in Gov. Sarah Palin’s public relations staff, with her top spokesman, Bill McAllister, forced out after less than a year in the position.

Murrow said he was too busy to talk to the Empire on Friday, but earlier told the Alaska Budget Report Newsletter he began the job June 10 and is paid $103,716 annually.

Replacing McAllister is David Murrow, an author of Christian books who lives in Chugiak.Murrow is Palin’s fourth communications director, following McAllister, Rosanne Hughes and Meg Stapleton. Hughes remains in Palin’s communications office as director of external communications, while Stapleton is now working for Palin’s political action committee.

Deputy Press Secretary Sharon Leighow remains in the office, while two other deputy press secretaries have departed; Beth Leschper is now handling communications duties for the Department of Labor, and Charles Fedullo has returned to the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

Murrow told the Budget Report that he owned a media production company that once did work for a Palin campaign, and is also author of two books on Christian men and church.

According to the American Library Association’s Booklist, “Murrow advocates injecting a strong shot of testosterone into the proceedings to restore the masculine spirit to the church,” in his first book, “Why Men Hate Church,” published in 2004.

In 2008 he published “How Women Help Men Find God.”

WAIT! But what about this?  ”Women are not permitted to teach men (1 Timothy 2:12)”

Interesting isn’t it that the “Church” he refers to – the evangelical, dominionist, New Apostolic Reformation, Patriarchal, Born-Again-Jesus-Is-Coming! -Church…who preaches that women are to be as submissive to their “men” as the men are to God, is asking for women to drag their poor unwilling male partners to church services?  How does this fit?

“Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything” (Ephesians 5:22-24).

“Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says. And if they want to learn something, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is shameful for women to speak in church” (1 Corinthians 14:34,35).

I find that fascinating and perplexing.  If women who are to follow and the men are always to lead in church how are they doing that if the guys aren’t showing up?

“The more traditionally masculine side of Christianity enjoys crossing swords with hostile secular worldviews. So, as long as Christianity appeals to the emotional, therapeutic, interpersonal, relational areas, it’s not going to appeal to men as much as to women,” a Murrow colleague, Pearcey stated.

‘Many churches emphasize Jesus’ softer teachings, like his love and his desire to save, and they ignore the doctrines of sin and hell, but men dislike liberal Christianity — “a mild religion of progress and enlightenment” as opposed to a battle between good and evil”.

So if you want a guy to show up for Sunday go-to-meetin’ then you better have some war games, gun talk, hellfire and brimstone.  Throw in a little “we don’t tolerate “homos”, save the unborn – blow up the clinics, and a rally cry to raise up arms in the name of God!  And by God these boys will come a runnin’!

“Men want to expend their lives for a great cause, even if it involves risk, according to Murrow. He said that’s why the U.S. military’s “Army of One” campaign was effective. But American churches rarely teach about Christian suffering and martyrdom, Murrow said.  ”Instead, today’s Christianity is presented as an antidote to these things”, he said.

To reach men, churches should stress the cost and dangers of following Christ — including Christians’ conflict with the world, the flesh and the devil”

And we sure don’t want all that touchy-feely love and peace stuff!  Reverend “Guns and God” Pagano from Kentucky could join forces with Palin’s new-hire and franchise his Church Gun Raffle services in his Church for Men and engage those poor lost male souls that Murrow seems to identify with at such length.

Murrow goes on to say, “Touchy-feely sermons come from touchy-feely pastors. A feminized church tends to attract more “gentle, sensitive, nurturing” leadership”.

Why do you suppose they think this is contrary to the teachings of Christ?  It is frightening to have such blatant repudiations of Christ as a kind and gentle teacher and caregiver of the poor and downtrodden – to instead place emphasis on “masculine” violence, punishment, and a retributive nature of an angry and warlike God.

“Texas for Sarah Palin.com” responded to this appointment thusly, “David Murrow is obviously a trusted friend, one who knows and understands Sarah Palin. They share an abiding faith in the Lord”.  That is their litmus test isn’t it?  More Murrow…

Murrow suggests that we, “Consider Islam. It just feels more masculine. Men who practice Islam actually enhance their manhood in the eyes of their peers. There are still strong gender roles. Islam has stringent requirements, including an epic journey (haj). Concepts such as heroic sacrifice and holy war live in Islam. The genders worship separately. And compare our visions of heaven: Christians offer eternal singing, Muslims offer eternal sex!”

And I suppose in Murrow’s heaven Viagra is handed out each day with your daily bread and a nice harem. Somehow I think they are missing the point – but with that attitude he will make a real gem of an addition to the GOP gallery I discussed in an earlier post, 123 GOP! Or I am and what he is REALLY saying is that he wants the women and all their girly frills gone altogether and prefers a Manly-Man’s Church altogether….whatever!

Well there we have it!  Another wise and thoughtful choice by Sarah Palin.  Let’s see what kind of “spinning” will come out of the Guv’s office now.

 Justifiable?

“WorldNetDaily Reports -  The chief suspect in the murder of Wichita abortion doctor George Tiller is said to have believed in “justifiable homicide,” allegedly suffered from mental illness and may have been convicted for criminal use of explosives while he was part of an extremist anti-government group.”

These are fanatical religious extremists.  I will not cater to their self-identification with the term “Christian” for they are not.  These people have taken the Christian faith and turned it into an industry that breeds fear and retribution.  

+ They prey on those in despair and the lonely.  

+ They prey on those who are incapable of uncovering their own views and prefer to be “pulpit-fed” revisionist theology.  

+ They prey on those who take comfort in sitting in the unChrist-like position of sitting in judgment of others who do not adhere to their old testament scripture twisted biblical ideologies.  

+ They prey on those who believe that Sarah Palin was as skilled an orator as Barack Obama in the 2008 election.

+ They prey on those who are easily indoctrinated and believe that the more money they contribute, the greater their likelihood to enter those “Pearly Gates”.

The “sheeples” give them their power…and by sheeples I mean:  

“Those who accept the group mentality and opinion as fact without examination whether politically or religiously (or in this case both).  Not only to be told what to do, but accepting the paradigm of thought as absolute thereby removing the weight of personal responsibility in the making of decisions.”

These so-called christians (with a little ‘c’) puppet-masters declare any number of atrocities JUSTIFIABLE in the name of God.  In their perverted minds the ends truly justify the means as long as their version of God’s plan is achieved and it serves their agendas.  They drag millions of dedicated well-intentioned converts into their mega-church congregations with notions of ever-lasting life and a one way ticket to heaven through financial tithing as the most sincere form of dedication to the love of Jesus Christ.  

They declare outrage over the loss of pre-embryonic tissue as a loss of life, yet terrify, haunt, threaten and kill medical professionals and their family members who perform legal medical procedures.  And these same sanctimonious ‘c’hristians who are violently vocal about the value of the “unborn” are the first to rant and rave about the costs of caring for unwanted children.  

Protect ‘em while they are in the womb, let ‘em starve if they are breathing on their own!

I have tremendous sadness, empathy, respect, and compassion for Dr. Tiller’s family and the memory of Dr. TIller as he ascends to higher ground.  God bless you!  And that is the loving, kind and tolerant Christian (with a BIG ‘C’) God I believe in.

            

Caribou Barbie

One articulate idealogue to another…can you imagine being a fly on the wall for that conversation?  The intellectual prowess would be daunting!  I know, I know – the ‘wurd’ is that Palin called the Dad of Malibu Barbie to express her sympathies and empathize with the persecution endured by a good Christian girl just trying to make her way in the world against all these heathen attacks.  But just imagine the two of them….

MB: “It is so hard to innnocently express bigoted hateful views against an entire group of people in the world without everyone getting SO excited! They take it so personally!  Afterall, don’t they know that we don’t hate them…it is the sin we hate.”

CB: “Don’t let them ruffle you, there…also, after all it is your composure and appearance that matters most right now. By the way!  Where did you get those implants, there?  I am over 40 now and I may be interested, also too.  I have that 2012 Pageant thingy coming up afterall, and – well, all those boys will certainly expect me to look my best! And I take my role modeling to women out there very seriously – as I know you do.”

MB: “Really? I mean, you like them?  I am so honored!  Of course I will share that with you when you are ready!  I know they sit on my chest like water balloons and seem like an appendage that enters the room before I do, but those boys sure do like ‘em!”

CB: “I just want you to know from one runway gal to another that I have your back!  No one has more self-inflicted battle-scars than me with those mainstream gotcha media guys and gals!  The way I avoid that from repeating itself is by just staying to myself, ya know, at hooommee, with my loving family where I am surrounded by ‘rell’ family values.

That way I can stay grounded in my faith comforted by knowing that all I have to do is say a few

 im…prec…atory (wow!  I always have such a hard time with that word! so I just sound it out) prayers against those that are persecuting me – and God will take care of them!  Look at the success we had with that one we all prayed against Mother Teresa!  

Just keep yourself outta the press like I do.  That is my best advice!  

MB: “But they make it soooo hard!  All that attention, the cameras and rich men like Donald Trump telling me that it doesn’t matter WHAT I say because…well…I am just that pretty!  It’s not my fault either. I was just born this way [except for the silicone, botox, tanning beds, hair highlighter, and my steady diet of Calistoga water and lettuce]”

CB: “Carrie, when this is all over…the insufferable attention that we bare because of our God-given looks and grace…remember, you too can write your own book on the trials of Runway Politics by a Christian Girl. Be brave and speak out about how they sensationalize you because of the burden of your beauty.  And how they overlook fact that you are a serious person, with a mind, who is responding with an intelligent answer…in your bikini.  

We are so misunderstood also, so just remember what the newest, latest, improved, constantly re-written version of our blessed Good Book there says…the End Times are near and those MSM gotcha people will be Left Behind with the rest of the heathens.”

MB: “Yes…I do have to comfort myself with that thought.  It is so great to be among the chosen few (and those pesky 144,000 jews) that will be swept to glory in the Rapture!”

CB: “Practice your wave so that we don’t seem too smug as we say good-bye to the rejected pagans as we are lifted.  All this training has a purpose, Carrie.  We are the Lord’s work, ya know! Now – shoulders back, chest out, arms slightly behind the torso, one Naughty Monkey high ‘hell’ in 

front of the other, chin up – and “Carrie ON”! (I made that up just for you there).

MB: “How can I ever thank you!  You are such an inspiration to those few of us that are this gifted!  I now consider you my true BFF!”  

CB: “Ya betcha! But we can’t tell Meghan cuz she thinks she’s my BFF…and she has such a temper!  I like her to keep that anger focused on those bloggers and rallying our guys on C4P, poor thing…she wasn’t tapped with the beauty wand like us, Carrie.  But she serves me well.  Which reminds me, before I go there…I want to share with you a comment from a C4P fan, that is actually a woman, about us.  It is so heartening to hear from ‘rell’ America!  See ya!”

“Good for Sarah! She and Carrie are two of the bravest and sincerest voices for traditional values. Sarah and Carrie “walk the walk” even if it means that they will be attacked through Alinsky methods by the intolerant left. Many male conservatives are afraid to do that.  Carrie is being demonized for pictures that any liberal actress or model would be celebrated for.

How many female celebrities/models are feted for appearing in revealing poses in Maxim, Playboy, or Sports Illustrated? Remember the recent Jennifer Aniston cover of GQ? What hypocrisy on the part of the left and MSM!I think Carrie and Sarah are kindred spirits. The MSM will try to smear them anyway they can because both women are proud to be conservative.  Sarah and Carrie rule!”   

             

I am feeling a little queezy now…that wasn’t as much fun as I thought!  It kinda scares me a little…
