Palin’s “Death Panels” via HER Own Imprecatory Prayer Practices
We are hearing more and more about potential formations of “death panels” from Sarah Palin. As I discussed in yesterday’s post, the “death panel” description originated with Betsy McCoughey, the former Lt. Governor of New York and who is now a mouthpiece for big pharmaceuticals who cleverly threw out the bait to Palin, Bachman and Grassley – who hungered for any fodder to keep the fear and paranoia against Obama alive and flaming!
It is virtually impossible to keep my posts brief in order to include the minimum that is necessary to lay out the reasons why I make my assertions. I am not simply writing as a cathartic experience to vent about these cult members, but to truly inform – so please take the time to read and watch what I have posted, it will enlighten you! And after you read this – you tell ME who we should be worrying about!
So what about Sarah’s “death panels”? Yes, she participates in her own version of deciding who should live and who should die based on her extreme religious beliefs. They feel justified in this as messengers of God to cast death prayers on their enemies. And who they view as their enemies – can be painted with a very broad brush.
Here is a short video by one of the prolific ‘ministers’ in the dominionist movement and founder of “Liberating Ministries for Christ International” (LMCI). It suffices to say that he believes in the Great Commission as does Palin & Co.
Neopentecostal dominionist imprecatory prayer is based on cherry-picked versus from the Bible to justify their retributive desires to punish those who speak out, or act in discordance with their dominionist beliefs. And of course it comes from the peace-loving Old Testament…Book of Psalms! And as the “Dr” says in the video you just watched – you can pretty much find any form of violence against the perceived demon-filled oppressor all throughout the Book of Psalms – but Psalms 109 is a recital of choice.
Meet Gordon Klingenschmitt – Navy Chaplain for a brief time that was fired for insubordination. Now just a very angry little man with a hate-filled heart and jealousy for other honorable military personnel, such as my friend Mikey Weinstein of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation and former Reagan White House legal staffer who has dedicated himself to working tirelessly to prevent these extreme dominionist evangelical fanatics from dominating and proselytizing in our U.S. Military and Pentagon.
Why am I introducing you to Mr. Klingenschmitt? Because he is one of these extreme fanatical dominionist ‘c’hristians. And he is busy routinely engaged in the practice of “Imprecatory Prayer”. Click here or on his photo to hear the recent imprecatory prayer that Klingenschmitt did, calling for harm to befall Mikey Weintein and Weinstein’s family.
Sarah Palin is absolutely involved in these types of ‘voodoo’ casting of spells intercessory or imprecatory prayers against all manner of ‘evil’. I have previously introduced you to Palin’s spiritual advisor, Mary Glazier, but for those who are unfamiliar let me briefly re-cap in word and video who she is. She has an extraordinarily long and important sounding title, Alaska Coordinator, United States Strategic Prayer Network (USSPN) now named the United States Global Apostolic Prayer Network (USGAPN), Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders (ACPE), International Coalition of Apostles (ICA). God must be impressed!
This title is bestowed upon her by her boss…the earthly one…C. Peter Wagner and his bevy of Apostolic Prophets who are headquartered at God central USA or as we know it more familiarly, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
“The vast amount of data gathered by the [spiritual prayer warfare] movement is kept at the nerve center of the spiritual warfare movement, the World Prayer Center in Colorado Springs, jointly developed by C. Peter Wagner and Ted Haggard. The World Prayer center was advertised at its opening as a way to link 50 million Christians in 120 countries in targeted prayer using this spiritual warfare information.
…those engaged in spiritual warfare do not just equate the things they see as sinful with demons, but “they believe that their opponents are literally possessed by or are the agents of Satan.”
Cindy Jacobs, another Prophetic Elder in the same organization as Glazier, has a ministry titled Generals of Intercession and has authored books such as Possessing the Gates of the Enemy, a Training Manual for Militant Intercession. Ana Mendez (Ferrell), the Prophetess who believes she may have helped kill Mother Theresa, has a website that lives up to expectations.
George Otis included an entire glossary on new spiritual warfare terms in the back of his book “Informed Intercession.” Ed Kalnins of Wasilla Assembly of God and Thomas Muthee, both of whom have anointed Palin, include exhortations of violence in their sermons. Like many others in the movement they prominently feature the biblical quote “the violent take it by force” in their rhetoric on spiritual warfare.
…there are very real physical actions being taken against other human beings in this spiritual warfare, like the old woman in Thomas Muthee’s Nairobi suburb of Kiambu. Mary Glazier has her own witch hunting story that was reported in “Spirit Led Woman” magazine in 2003. Like Muthee, Glazier believes that the removal of the witch from the geographic area allowed the gospel to take root.
In 1995, Mary mobilized a prayer network for Alaska’s prisons and began experiencing spiritual warfare as never before. She had received word that a witch had applied for a job as chaplain of the state’s prison system……Mary recalls, “As we continued to pray against the spirit of witchcraft, her incense altar caught on fire, her car engine blew up, she went blind in her left eye, and she was diagnosed with cancer.”
Ultimately, the witch fled to another state for medical treatment. Soon after, revival visited every prison in Alaska.
At the women’s correctional facility in Anchorage alone, 55 of 60 inmates found Christ. “Ask largely,” Mary says. “Intercessory prayer is making a major difference in North America.”
I have exclusive knowledge that none of this had any direct dealings with the woman they refer to who in fact returned to her home state and is now working as a prison Chaplain there. Their claims are inflammatory and outrageous! But believed by the Sheeples, nonetheless…sadly…
The participants of this movement really do believe that their prayers are the cause of destruction of property and injury, or perhaps even the death, of others like Mother Theresa and Princess Diana. And they do clearly profess to believe that others will be forced to accept their beliefs or be destroyed.
One of the other striking things about the New Apostolic Reformation is its virtual invisibility to most Americans. This invisibility is despite the fact that it is a hotly debated topic among many other groups of American Fundamentalists and Evangelicals. Numerous “discernment ministries” have filled hundreds of Internet pages with discussions about Wagner and the New Apostles and the threat they feel this movement presents to their [Christian mainstream] churches.
The controversies over the movement’s spiritual warfare methods have made it to the top levels of the Lausanne Committee and other major Evangelical leadership. It is, of course, widely covered in Charismatic media sources including Charisma Magazine. Both Lee Grady, editor of the magazine and the publisher, and Steve Strang are Apostles in Wagner’s International Coalition of Apostles. Grady and Strang have recently also written of Palin as the biblical Deborah andEsther respectively. The Christian Science monitor has featured some excellent coverage of Wagner’s spiritual warfare and the Southern Poverty Law Center recently issued a report on the movement. But only a few small glimpses of this movement have appeared in mainstream media.
Jeff Sharlet wrote about the World Prayer Center in his May 2005 Harper’s article, Soldiers for Christ. The award winning movie Jesus Camp featured Becky Fisher, a former pastor at Morningstar Ministries, as well as Lou Engle, a Prophetic Elder and founder of “The Call.” This link is The Call, Nashville. Both are still active figures in the New Apostolic Reformation and particularly in youth efforts. Recently Salon has featured several articles by writers who have written about the 40 day fast and other efforts of the leadership of the New Apostolic Reformation to impact the election in Palin’s favor but the press has failed to piece together the larger story of this worldwide movement and its relationship to Palin.
No researcher or journalist can claim to know the mind of Sarah Palin. However, she has certainly come from a background steeped in the beliefs and activities of the Third Wave and the New Apostolic Reformation. The American public deserves to know what impact this has had on her worldview and needs to understand the significance of a New Apostolic worldview. Furthermore, beyond the issue of Sarah Palin’s political career, the New Apostolic Reformation is a new and powerful force in American religion and politics. Knowledge of this movement and its political impact should be a top priority for every researcher and journalist concerned about the growing assault on the separation of church and state.
Meanwhile the Prophets and Apostles are continuing to contact their networks worldwide with urgent Sarah Palin prophecy while most of America remains oblivious to their existence.

(Leah’s Note: I include the New Apostolic Reformation when I use the umbrella term of Dominionists)
And during Glazier’s sermon’ (and I use that term VERY loosely) at the ”Critical Mass for the Harvest” on June 13, 2008, that I call her “I Believe in Warfare” speech, she had this to say:
“I Believe in Warfare.”
…there was a twenty-for year old woman that God began to speak to about entering into politics. She became a part of our prayer group out in Wasilla. Years later, became the mayor of Wasilla. And last year was elected Governor of the state of Alaska. Yes! Hallelujah! At her inauguration she dedicated the state to Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
And I will stop today’s post with Glazier’s most recent appearance with another “Apostle”, Dutch Sheets of Freedom Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado as he was guest speaker to a crowd of reportedly 6,000 in Wasilla, Alaska and a lovely guest appearance by Mary Glazier – my hometown gal…makes me beam with pride!
The connections are incestuous between these political dominionists and the ‘churches’ they are spawned from. I will be focusing on providing you more information in my upcoming posts about this practice of Spiritual Warfare – and how hypocritical these people are in their claims against President Obama.

You put it very succinctly! I try for that…but if you only knew all the information rattling in my head, bursting to get out for all of you at once…it would be a never-ending blog!

"In 1995, Mary mobilized a prayer network for Alaska’s prisons and began experiencing spiritual warfare as never before. She had received word that a witch had applied for a job as chaplain of the state’s prison system……"
This is from a letter I wrote to Palin before I knew what she was quite a while back. The whole letter was about 50 pages and then about 20 pages of documents I had written that I managed to hold onto(they disapeared most of them). It was written about my experience with workplace bullying, the criminal justice system, the prison system, and more. At that time I assumed the state was being run on the basis of the constitution and laws. I also assumed Palin was a real governor. This is about when I was wrongfully arrested and imprisoned:
"There is a room with Christian books and videos in the gym. There is no material for other religions. They also have Christians coming to take people out of the units. No other religion is represented. They are pushing Christianity. This is against their own policy. It is also a violation of a civil right."

Yes it is a violation and my friend Mikey Weinstein is working to that end with regard to the evangelizing in the military who received the imprecatory prayer. It is never right to shove any belief system on anyone in this country and that is what we are defending! Thank you for sharing that, I am sorry you had to endure such a disturbing experience.

It is heartening to hear your response because it is so very important to get the word out on these people and expose them for the extremists that they truly are. As I said in the post, it is so difficult to keep my articles short because there is SO much information out there that needs to be shared, and so much of it is unbelievable! And, yes…what kind of true Christian would in any way condone or practice the casting of hexes/spells and cursings against another?
Frauds!! These leaders are Phalse Prophets for Profit…you can see why they like this whole ideology, they are benefitting nicely from it! But the disturbing aspect are all the Sheeples that support them! This is a cult and an offense to true Christianity – all in the name of Jesus Christ…

Total control is exactly what they want and you are correct, the messages of the Bible are most definitely tailored by the messenger and what they want to accomplish. The notion that God gave us exactly the amount of resources necessary to exist before the End Times descend upon us keeps them from caring one iota about what happens with global warming/climate change…and that type of short-sighted mentality in power will surely be our undoing! thank you for your comments…

These groups are all related to some "neo" christianity espoused by tef haggarty and that weirdo mega chaurch in van nuys Ca. they blow those things that are supposed to be the same kind of horns that the ancient isrealites used. they pray for people to die and they claim to have power over the spirit world. the most disturbing things about them are they're desire for conflict and war, and a confusion of christ with money. they think capitalism is an expression of godly righteousness. DO THEY HAVE any idea, how much they resemble the "apostate" churches who are supposed to "pave the way for the anti-christ? personally i dont buy even actual christianity, but i know enogh about it to know that they are the spooky, evil kind of heretic christians that are supposed to be buring people on crosses and sacrigicinh human lives for material wealth…belchhhhh
August 28th, 2009 at 5:37 pm
They are indeed the "wolves in sheeps clothing" warned about in Christianity…and no, I don't think they do have any idea. They really sincerely believe that they are "the chosen" and looking down their self-righteous noses pitying the rest of us because they are convinced they have their front row seats on the Rapture flight.
August 28th, 2009 at 8:48 pm
And we won't fall! You are absolutely right on with your comment. Under the umbrella of the dominionist sect there is wide variation and disagreement depending on whether they believe in post or pre-millennialism. That aside, they are in agreement, as you pointed out, that the rest of us are their enemy – including groups that they currently embrace to expand their base for as long as they need them. I am referring to Christian Identity, Catholics, Mormons, even scientologists…as evidenced by Palin's willingness to sidle up to Greta Van Susteren's husband and have him establish and oversee her SarahPAC formation.
For all their screaming and indignation over claiming that Obama is an elitist, they are in fact the embodiment of that term.
