“Grand Ol’ Party”! I don’t think this is what they meant…
Here we go again…my GOD can’t these morally superior religious politicians keep it in their pants?! Enough already…I hate waisting my time on them but it is necessary to shed light on these pathetic “moral high-grounders” as they tumble off of Mount Holier-then-Thou.
WHY? you ask…
Because unlike Clinton, Kennedy and a whole host of other political figures who have been caught with their pants down, these GOP religious frauds have been feverishly working to moralize America through the passage of laws controlling everything from freedom of religion, gay rights, definition of marriage (THAT one really cracks me up!), women’s reproductive rights, religiously motivated wars, the annihilation of public education in favor of religious schools and home-schooling – and on and on and on! You can screw up whatever relationship you want, have indiscriminate sex with who ever you please, thump whatever scripture-twisted version of the Bible you choose – but KEEP YOUR BIBLE OFF MY BALLOT!
THAT’s why!
I don’t derive the slightest enjoyment from having to write about these slimeballs, but in light of their self-proclaimed piety and desire to dictate to the rest of us how we must live, it is necessary to document their failings. We have to wake up to the reality of who they are and stop this insurgence of god’s law into our political landscape. Enough already! Am I mad? Yes! I am so sick of them, and resentful that if we are not to remain vigilant, these slimeballs will tie their pulpits to our bedposts!
And they are so loving and compassionate. As in the newest GOP cheating Poster Boy, Governor Gibbons of
Nevada embroiled in a divorce case announced this week, for multiple incidences of adultery. Check out this blurb about a quote from Gibbons who voted yes on school prayer, pro-life, defense of marriage,
RENO, Nev. (AP) - While praising the efforts of American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, Gibbons accused liberals, movie stars and song makers of “trying to divide this country.”
“I say we tell those liberal, tree-hugging, Birkenstock-wearing, hippie, tie-dyed liberals to go make their movies and their music and whine somewhere else,” he said.
He added it was “too damn bad we didn’t buy them a ticket” to become human shields in Iraq.
Oh…that’s nice isn’t it…
But Guv Gibbons, Guv Sanford, Senator Ensign and “Dr.” Preacher Thomas Manton IV
are just the latest in this disgusting gallery of sanctimonious pukes…this is going to make this a LONG blog, but I have to post the following list below that is compiled from
numerous sources and was inspired by the DailKos posting today. Note that this is not an exhaustive list, unfortunately, but long enough to make you sick to your stomach!
And before I post it here, I will repeat – the dems have their own freaks without a doubt, the difference is they do not preach purity and piety while engaging in their despicable behaviors, and then turn around and try to legislate our behaviors. The following aberrations actually DO tell us how to live as godly citizens:
SO HERE YOU GO!

THANK YOU – it is great to have 123 of these hypocrites in one place. I linked this site over on DU (democratic underground). I also purchased your book “Theopalinism” many months ago, when I was trying to figure out just WHO this Palin person WAS. What an eye-opener. Of all the frightening things Palin, her Dominionist form of Christianity horrifies me most.

Thank goodness the new GOP instructional video has arrived!

Thank you Lorelei for posting this to DU. I am going to continue to build on this periodically and keep it current. Unbelievable isn’t it? I think that my next book, “God’s Own Party? – Keep Your Bible Off My Ballot!” that is in process will be a real eye-opener for us all and addresses Political Dominionism in the United States on many frightening levels.
These people are a minority, but we have allowed them to run free reign over the last 30 years and it is now time to put a stop to this madness.

I read this list with a sense of wonder at the “Family Values”, Christian” , “Moral Majority” hypocrisy. A quote from their favorite book comes to mind: “You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.” Matthew 7:5

Written by RepublicanOffenders:
I know it’s hard for average Americans to keep track of the endless stream of Republican perverts, criminals, and scandals.
So as a public service, republicanoffenders (website) provides a long, long, long list of Republican criminals from the past ten years…nicely organized by category: Drugs/Prostitution, Corruption/Bribery, Rape, Lewd Conduct, Murder, Assorted Felonies, Fraud/Embezzlement etc etc etc…and a ridiculously huge section on Pedophiles, as would be expected.
Looks like only about 400 or so Republicans listed…so it’s obviously a work in progress.

Blaidd…Great response! I remember that from years ago when I produced a play called, “Godspell” in Juneau, Alaska, 1976. Yeah – I know – racey for its time and place! But that was based on the Book of Matthew and I remember that line very well!
The hypocrisy is what makes me furious. They can subscribe to what ever version they want, just quit trying to force the rest of us into their cabal through legislation.
Agreed…

From Jack
I wish I could take credit for RepublicanOffenders…but all I do is try to spread the word. It’s a great resource – one of my favorite sites – but needs some updating (as you’ve provided so excellently on your site). These things come so often from the Republican side, I’m sure it’s a full-time job for somebody just maintaining the catalogue. You should contact that site’s owner and put your heads together…I think you’re also doing some great work…the collaboration could be fantastic.
Thanks for the note. And best of luck. I look forward to following your work.

Gosh, don’t ‘ya just love those hypocritical, thumb-in-their-Bible “Red State” conservatives? If ever there were a shining example of how NOT to lead your life, there’s where to find it!
July 3rd, 2009 at 12:26 pm
This absolutely angers me. I hate how these fake Christians make the rest of us look bad.
I hope the nation can open its eyes to these type of atrocities, and stray away from hypocrisy.
July 3rd, 2009 at 8:52 pm
I hear you Z…
I spend so much of my day appalled and often times angered by their sanctimonious hypocrisy, but limit myself so I don’t go crazy. Writing here and on my book is definitely cathartic and makes me feel that I am doing something about this cabal of creeps….
July 3rd, 2009 at 8:53 pm
Thank you Jack! Great idea…I will try to contact them. It is a worthwhile project to be sure and it looks like I have to update Palin’s status soon…:)

It’s a sad day when the likes of these people who call themselves “Christians” are so arrogant and power hungry that they allow those of us who truly seek to live the life of a true Christian to be drug thru the mud. Most of the people who read/write articles like this already look at us like we are ignorant hypocrites. Well, THAT is not true and besides, I’m sure not going to let some hypocrite keep me out of heaven. The Golden Rule should apply to all men, after all, if you follow the instructions of the author, you are following the instructions of Jesus.
July 4th, 2009 at 10:22 pm
Hmm. Is it true?
July 5th, 2009 at 2:17 pm
Yes it is very true unfortunately…and these people, many of them, act as though they have a direst line from God’s lips to their ears and look down on the rest of us with pity. Very sad!
They also like to run around judging others with their “WWJD” (what would Jesus do) bumber stickers and rubber wrist bands…(like Ted Haggard always wore)…
I don’t know about you, but if I were in their shoes? I wouldn’t be anxious for the answer!
July 29th, 2009 at 4:15 pm
I am not sure how I got under recycling..interesting…lol. But it is a very sad fact that these charges and convictions are VERY real and I have 10 more to add today. There are so many that it is truly time-consuming to keep up! But I think it is so very important to expose the hypocrisy. As I say in my postings about this, the republicans don't have the market cornered on these atrocities, but they ARE the ones who sanctimoniously preach to the rest of us and push for legislation that would dictate our morals as THEY see fit…thank you for stopping by and reading…
